c0c0n - International Information Security and Hacking Conference

c0c0n is an annual event conducted as part of the International Information Security Day. Various technical, non-technical, legal and community events are organized as part of the program. c0c0n is aimed at providing a platform to discuss, showcase, educate, understand and spread awareness on the latest trends in information, cyber and hi-tech crimes. It also aims to provide a hand-shaking platform for various corporate, government organizations including the various investigation agencies, academia, research organizations and other industry leaders and players for better co-ordination in making the cyber world a better and safe place to be.

Information Security Achievement Awards

The objective of the Information Security Achievement Award (ISAA) is to recognize and honor outstanding contribution and achievements in the field of Information Security. Two nomination categories have been identified viz., Technical and Management for the subject award. Through the award, the ISRA is expecting to reach out the information security and technology community spread across the globe.

Project Matriux

The Matriux is a phenomenon that was waiting to happen. It is a fully featured security distribution consisting of a bunch of powerful, open source and free tools that can be used for various purposes including, but not limited to, penetration testing, ethical hacking, system and network administration, cyber forensics investigations, security testing, vulnerability analysis, and much more. It is a distribution designed for security enthusiasts and professionals, although it can be used normally as your default desktop system.

Information Security Day

The concept of Information Security Day (ISD) was started to spread the awareness of information and cyber security issues. ISD aims at reducing the risk associated with the information systems by increasing the awareness of user community. The ISD is observed on the first Thursday of August every year. If a local holiday coincides with the Information Security Day, you can always re-arrange the date for your convenience.
